Petrology Slide Preparation - Improve #1

The dremel rotatory tool can be mounted to a working station to provide additional support for the cutting.  It servered two purposes:

1. Provides the stability of the cutting

2. Free up your hand to handle your specimen

It can also provide you the option of adding a cutting guide which allows you to cut your specimen more consistant and thiner.  The cutting cuides is a just a piece of wood fixed to the bottom of the working station with two long screw and butterfly nuts.  A piece of metal was screwed to the wood to provide the straight line for you to advance the specimen for cutting.  In the picture below, you can see that my hands are dangerously close the to cutting wheel.  Using a cutting guides allow me to cut the rock along a straight line and more consistant thickness.
